Notice – By accepting this document you may be waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue.

Release and Waiver of Claims; Assumption of Risk; Indemnification Agreement
				
In consideration of being allowed to use the facilities and participate in activities, as provided by AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL (hereinafter referred to as the “Host”), the undersigned “Participant”, or the Participant’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) if the Participant is a minor, do hereby agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, as follows:
				
1) O WAIVE ALL CLAIMS that they have or may have against the Host arising out of the Participant’s participation in the Activities or the use of any equipment provided by the Host (hereinafter the “Equipment”), including, among other things, all Equipment used while receiving instruction and/or training;
				
2) TO ASSUME ALL RISKS of participating in the Activities and using the Equipment, even those caused by the negligent acts or conduct of the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, and/or officers. The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) understand that there are inherent risks of participating in the Activities and using the Equipment, which may be both foreseen and unforeseen, which include serious physical injury and/or death;
				
3) TO RELEASE the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, and officers from all liability for any loss, damage, injury, death, or expense that the Participant (or his/her next of kin) may suffer, arising out of his/her participation in the Activities and/or use of the Equipment, including while receiving instruction and/or training. The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) specifically understand that they are releasing any and all claims that arise or may arise from any act or act or conduct, including negligent acts or conduct, of the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, and/ or officers, to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the State of Utah. However, nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a release for conduct that is found to constitute gross negligence or intentional conduct; and
				
4) TO INDEMNIFY the Host, its owners, affiliates, operators, employees, agents, and/or officers, from any and all liability resulting from any loss, damage, injury, death, or expense that the Participant (or his/her next of kin) may suffer, arising out of the Participant’s participation in the Activities and/or use of the Equipment, including while receiving instruction and/or training.
				
Photography/Video Release
				
Participant hereby grants to the Host, its owners, operators, representatives employees, agents, officers, and sponsors, the perpetual, worldwide right to photograph and record (video) the Participant in connection with Participant’s participation in the Activities.
 
Participant hereby authorizes the Host to copyright, use, and/or publish the same print publish the same in print and/or electronically. Participant hereby agrees that the Host may use such photographs of Participant for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content. The Participant, or Participant’s parent(s)/legal guardian(s), as applicable, release the Host, its owners, operators, representatives employees, agents, officers, and sponsors from and against any claim for invasion of rights of privacy, publicity, privacy, or other claims or causes of action arising out of the Host’s use of the foregoing license.
 
Personal Responsibility
				
The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) certify that Participant has no physical or mental condition that precludes him/her from participating in the Activities, and that he/she is not participating in the Activities against medical advice.
 
The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) understand that Participant’s participation in the Activities is voluntary, and further understand and acknowledge that they have been provided an opportunity to inspect the Host’s Equipment and facilities before any participation.
The Participant and his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) understand that Participant is obligated to follow the rules of the Activities, and that he/she can minimize his/her risk of injury by doing so, and through the exercise of common sense and by being aware of his/her surroundings while participating in the Activities.
 
If, while participating in the Activities, the Participant or his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) observe any unusual hazard or condition, which they believe jeopardizes Participant’s personal safety or that of others, Participant and/or his/her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) will remove Participant from participation in the Activities and immediately bring said hazard or condition to the attention of the Host.
 
PLEASE NOTE that AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL reserves the right to:
				
* Refuse service to anyone.
* Remove from the premises anyone using vulgar or offensive language or gestures or conducting themselves in any inappropriate manner, including unsportsmanlike conduct.
* Change dates or times associated with the Activities, as necessary.
* Approve and/or require a change to any team name deemed inappropriate, vulgar, crude or otherwise offensive.
* Combine leagues as necessary.
* Consider Participant, team, and individual requests as much as possible but cannot guarantee fulfillment of requests.
* Any team forfeiting will be required to pay the referee fees for both teams for the forfeited game.
* Assess a penalty and interest, as allowed by Utah law, on all unpaid charges, costs and/or fees owed, if not paid in a timely manner.
* Refuse to refund or transfer any and all deposits made by or owed by a Participant or the Participant’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s), coach, etc.
* To the extent that any portion of this agreement is deemed to be invalid under the laws of the State of Utah, the remaining portions of the Agreement shall remain binding and available for use * by the Host and its legal counsel in any proceeding.
* I Have Read And Understand This Agreement. By Signing up Below, I Am Aware That I Will Be Giving Up Substantial Rights And May Be Waiving Certain Legal Rights, Including The Right To Sue.

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL GENERAL CODE OF ETHICS AND CONDUCT *:

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL General Code Of Ethics And Conduct
 
AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Policy & Procedures applies to all those involved in all the sports in AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL, all such individuals have a responsibility to act according to the highest standards of integrity, and to ensure that the reputation of AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL is beyond reproach.
 
AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL is committed to maintaining the highest possible standards of behaviour and conduct at all sports provided by the academy.
 
The following principles must be adhered to always so that sport can be enjoyed by all and is divided into the following sections:
 
A. General principles
	
1. All those involved in the sports must treat everyone equally and sensitively regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic origin, cultural or social background, political affiliation, or any other personal characteristic/feature. AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL is opposed to any form of violent, offensive, or discriminatory behaviour and will act as necessary to remove individuals who do not abide by this Code of Ethics and Conduct.
	
2. Everyone involved in AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL, both adults and young people have a responsibility to treat everyone with dignity, respect, sensitivity, and fairness.
	
3. Every young person or vulnerable adult involved in the AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL sports classes should be able to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. Allegations of a child protection nature relating to the breaking of this Code of Ethics and Conduct must follow the reporting procedures as contained in AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Child Protection Policy and Procedures.

B. AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Staff & Management

All AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Staff & Management agree to:

* Treat everyone equally and sensitively regardless of age, disability, gender, race, ethnic origin, cultural background, sexual orientation, religious belief or political affiliation;
* Not use foul, sexist or racist language;
* Use your official position to take action against any club member or Parents who harasses, abuses or uses foul, sexist or racist language;
* Accept the responsibilities of the role that you have to set a good example of behaviour and conduct at all times and promote ethical principles.
* AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL is aware of and follows best practice guidelines to safeguard young people and vulnerable adults.
* AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Staff to ensure a proper supervision is provided by suitably qualified coaches who are capable of promoting good sporting behaviour and good technical skills.
* Ensure all equipment and facilities meet safety standards.
* Adhere to safeguarding of all children their care .
* Encourage all players and coaches to abide by the rules and spirit of the game and do not manipulate the rules in order to benefit yourself personally or your club;
* Show respect to coaches, players and others involved in the sports
* Remember sport is enjoyed for its own sake
* Always have regard to the best interests of the sports, including where publicly expressing an opinion of the game, others involved and any particular aspect of it.
	
C. Coaches

All affiliated coaches agree to:

* Consider the safety and wellbeing of all individuals in their charge;
* Ensure their behaviour is not misconstrued or open to allegations of favouritism, misconduct, or impropriety;
* Follow guidance on good practice when working with young people/vulnerable adults and report any concerns for their wellbeing to the relevant authority or body;
* Uphold the appropriate boundaries in the working relationship between coach and player – especially when one person is aged under 18 years of age or a vulnerable adult. While the coach-player relationship
* Exists, the coach should not only refrain from initiating a relationship, but should also discourage any attempt by a player to initiate an intimate relationship, explaining the ethical basis of the refusal;
* Ensure that all training and playing demands are not detrimental to the wellbeing of the players and are reasonable dependent upon the age, maturity, experience and ability of the players;
* Ensure their competence and ability is sufficient so that the safety of players is not compromised.
* Encourage players to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance;
* Programme and regularly seek opportunities for continued professional development;
* Respect the rights of players to choose to decline to participate within coaching or playing situations, never put a player on court if they are injured or unfit to do so.
* Declare any affiliation, sponsorship, or accreditation in a truthful and accurate manner;
* Comply with all safeguarding and first aid policies and procedures.
* Promote prevention and education regarding the misuse of performance enhancing drugs and illegal substances;
* Declare any history or instances where you were disciplined, dismissed, cautioned, warned or convicted of any offence relating to children/young people/vulnerable adults on a Self-Declaration form submitted to the AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Management.
* Not attempt to exert undue influences and pressures to obtain personal benefit or reward.
* Agree what information what will be treated confidentially.
* In case of accident or injury you will need to Communicate and co-ordinate with medical practitioners in the diagnosis, treatment and management of a players’
* Be a positive role model.
* Project a good personal appearance of cleanliness and never smoke in the coaching environment
* Never use foul, sexist or racist language or act in a violent/abusive manner.
* Refrain from posting negative or derogatory comments on social media about other clubs, coaches.
* Refrain from posting any comments on social media which bring the reputation of AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL into disrepute.
* Be aware of how your language and behaviour may have an effect and ensure you do not use foul language, humiliate or bully any young person;
* Make sure you are fully aware of and follow the latest guidance on working with young people;
* Treat everyone with respect and dignity, recognising the additional needs or disadvantages of those with disabilities or from minority backgrounds;
* Set a good example as young people will learn from you;
* Make sure disciplinary actions are nonviolent/humiliating and use rewards, praise and acknowledgment to reinforce good behavior;
* Listen and act if a young person tells you they’re being bullied or abused
	
D. Players

Treat everyone equally and sensitively regardless of age, disability, gender, race, ethnic origin, cultural background, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or political affiliation;

* Treat your team-mates and opponents, coaches, club officials and match officials with respect and consideration at all times - treat them as you would like to be treated
* Not use foul, sexist, racist language or offensive gestures at any time
* Know and abide by the rules and spirit of the game.
* Avoid violence and rough play and help injured opponents.
* Abide by the instructions of the coach.
* Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance through the classes.
* Concentrate on the training, do not react/respond to undue criticism from, parents, raise any concerns calmly and professionals to the coach or AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL management if needed.
* Learn to accept victory and defeat with humility and dignity and without excessive emotional displays.
* Work equally hard for yourself and your team - your team’s performance will benefit and so will your own.
* Never bully, spread rumours or tell lies about other young people.
* Welcome and include new players whatever their background or ability.
* Control your emotions - verbal or physical abuse is not acceptable at any time.
* Don’t show off or try to humiliate other players.
* Don’t ridicule or blame team mates who make mistakes.
* Make sure you tell your coach/parents if another young person confides in you and you think they need help.
	
E. Parents/Guardians (and other family members)

Teach your child to treat everyone equally and sensitively regardless of their age, disability, gender, race, ethnic origin, cultural background, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or political affiliation; gender, ethnic origin or cultural background;

* Support all efforts to remove verbal, physical and racist abuse.
* Remember that young people are involved for their enjoyment - not yours.
* Encourage all to play by the rules and respect the match officials.
* Never ridicule or shout at a participant for making a mistake or losing a game.
* Teach that effort and teamwork are as important as victory, so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment.
* Remember that young people and vulnerable adults learn best by example.
* On no account should you enter the court unless authorised otherwise.
* Do not shout abuse at officials, coaches, players or other parents.

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY *:

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Health And Safety Policy
	
AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL is strongly committed to encouraging our members to take part, but the health, well-being and safety of each individual is always our paramount concern. We recommend levels of training dependent on age and ability, and expect our junior athletes to participate within these boundaries.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY:
 
To support our Health and Safety policy statement we are committed to the following duties:
	
* Undertake regular, recorded risk assessment of the Academy premises and all activities undertaken by the academy.
* Create a safe environment by putting health and safety measures in place as identified by the assessment.
* Ensure that all members are given the appropriate level of training and competition by regularly assessing individual ability dependent on age, maturity and development.
* Ensure that all members are aware of, understand and follow the academy’s health and safety policy.
* Appoint a competent academy member to assist with health and safety responsibilities.
* Ensure that normal operating procedures and emergency operating procedures are in place and known by all members.
* Provide access to adequate first aid facilities, telephone and qualified first aider at all times.
* Report any injuries or accidents sustained during any academy activity or whilst on the academy premises.
* Ensure that the implementation of the policy is reviewed regularly and monitored for effectiveness.
* FIRST AID kits are located with coaches.
* All AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Coaches are qualified first aiders.
	
AS AN ACADEMY MEMBER YOU HAVE A DUTY TO:

* Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or not do.
* Co-operate with the academy on health and safety issues.
* Correctly use all equipment provided by the academy.
* Not interfere with or misuse anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.

ANTI BULLYING CHARTER *:

We will:

* Listen and respond to young people’s concerns and take appropriate action
* Respond appropriately to incidents of bullying
* Take parents/carers concerns seriously and respond effectively
	
We aim:

* To create a positive environment for young people
* To encourage safe, and accessible opportunities for young people
* To ensure that all young people can participate in a safe, caring environment
	
To achieve this, we will:

* Ensure that a young person-centred environment is created during all activities
* Emphasise the positive values of participation, sharing, helping and encouraging
* Promote equality in all AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL activities
* Establish clear ground rules/boundaries for activities
* Work towards continuously improving the quality of activities
	
We are committed to eliminating bullying within AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL activities:

* To achieve this, we will encourage all participants to behave according to the AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Code of Ethics and Conduct, which will provide a framework of acceptable behaviour

All participants agree to abide by the following:

* We will not tolerate bullying or harassment of any kind
* We will be accepting of others regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or social status
* We will not ignore an incident of bullying and will take all signs of bullying seriously
* We will be kind to others, even if they are not our friends and we will make new participants in our activities feel welcome
* We will not join in fights or disturbances
* We will report any bullying incident to a member of staff/official immediately
* We will not judge others on the way they speak, their social behaviour, appearance, or their ability.
* We will remember that everyone matters, including ourselves
* We will encourage all young people to speak and share their concerns
* We will encourage all Club Welfare Officers to sign post how young people can contact them with a concern of bullying

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL SUPERVISION RATIO *:

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Supervision Ratio
	
This guidance is for anyone with responsibility for planning or delivering activities for children and young people, or for establishing good practice guidelines.
 
Why are supervision ratios important?
It is important to ensure that, in planning and running sports activities for children and young people, consideration is given to providing an appropriate staffing/supervision ratio of adults to participants. Benefits include:
	
* minimising any risks to participants
* enhancing the benefits children draw from the activity
* reassuring parents/carers
* providing some protection for those responsible for providing, funding or commissioning the activity in the event of concerns or incidents arising.
	
Recommended minimum supervision ratios:
	
AGE 0-2 : No. Adults (1) -> No. Children (3)	
AGE 2-3 : No. Adults (1) -> No. Children (4)
AGE 4-8 : No. Adults (1) -> No. Children (6)
AGE 9-12 : No. Adults (1) -> No. Children (8)
AGE 13-18 : No. Adults (1) -> No. Children (12)
	
Young people as supervisors
	
AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL provide opportunities for under 18’s to coach, officiate or organise events for other children, including achieving qualifications and awards. These positive opportunities allow young people to develop skills, experience and confidence but should not mean that AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL should depend on them to take full responsibility for managing groups of children. Under18 year olds in coaching or other roles should only supplement the adult with overall responsibility for supervising the activity.
 
Parents and carers as supervisors
	
Although the AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL encourages parents/carers to accompany children to activities, we do not recommend those planning or providing activities include carers in supervision calculations, unless the carers/parents are acting in a formal volunteering or other capacity during the activity. In these circumstances, this should mean that those parents/carers meet all appropriate requirements in terms of:
* appropriate checks,
* clarity about their role
* who has overall responsibility for the group
* what is acceptable practice

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY *:

AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL Cancellation / Refund Policy
	
Private Sessions, Sessions, and Camps:
	
All cancellations are non-refundable. Payment is required at the time of booking, even when booked by through staff. We accept cash, check, or credit card. Participants will be charged the full amount of the session for no-shows and late cancellations.
 
Holds/Suspensions:
If a medical issue renders you unable to participate in training for an extended period of time, we will place holds on the services in your account where applicable.
 
Refunds:
We handle refunds on a case by case basis to ensure our clients are fully satisfied with all purchases and services.
 
Camps:
AL SAMRIYA RIDING SCHOOL does not refund for any cancellations.
Medical issues/death in family can be refunded all. If this is a medical issue, we will need a doctor’s note faxed or emailed to us.
